Everything You Need For Your SAS Trip

We appreciate how tricky it can be to get a school trip organised, that is why we have
created this handy list with everything you need.

Insurance

Scottish Adventure School Insurance is included as standard on our trips, unless otherwise stated.

Our insurance has been tailor-made to match all the activities we provide and includes additional cover and protection for schools and groups.

ARRANGING YOUR OWN TRAVEL INSURANCE

You may have a preferred insurer that you have worked with previously, though there are many different travel insurance policies available. Please check the cover carefully to ensure that it meets your needs and provide us with details of your insurer.

Please note that the cost of your trip will not change.

INSURANCE POLICY DOCUMENTS

As with any type of insurance, it is important that you read the policy document to check it is suitable for all members of your group.

Booking Terms and Conditions

Booking Terms for The Scottish Adventure School

  1. 20% deposit is required within 28 days of receiving this booking form to confirm dates. Deposit monies - in part or as a whole – are refundable to the extent that the booking is amended more than 28 days before the proposed start date. If changes to the booking are made inside of 28 days of the proposed start date, to the extent that costs in connection with the booking have been incurred, a deduction from deposit monies may be necessary.

  2. Final group size must be communicated to Scottish Adventure School at least 28 days before the proposed start date. Final confirmed numbers will be charged at the agreed cost per person. In the absence of formal confirmation, it will be assumed the full group will attend and an invoice for the final balance will be issued accordingly.

  3. The final balance is due and payable no later than 28 days prior to the start date of the trip. If this timescale presents a problem due to internal authorisation of invoices, then please do let us know and we can agree terms that can be achieved.

  4. We accept that circumstances may arise where an individual cannot attend a course they are booked on. Scottish Adventure School will seek to make allowances for short-notice booking changes due to extenuating circumstances. Please inform us as soon as possible with details of such changes and we will seek to accommodate changes as best we can taking into consideration any costs in connection with the booking which have been incurred. The possibility of a refund of monies already paid will be discussed with the group leader on a case-by-case basis.

  5. If an individual has to leave part-way through their course due to their own actions or by their own choice, no refund of fees will be due. Extenuating circumstances can be discussed between the group leader and Scottish Adventure School and any possible refund of fees will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

  6. If the whole group could not attend due to COVID, Government or PKC guidance, we would not charge and the deposit would be refunded.

  7.  The agreement does not give rise to any rights under the Contract (Third Party Rights) (Scotland) Act 2017 for any third party to enforce or otherwise invoke any term of the Contract.

  8. This agreement will be governed by the laws of Scotland, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts for all purposes connected with this agreement, including the enforcement of any award or judgement made under or in connection with it.

If you require any further information about the courses, please do not hesitate to contact us
